Peter's Killer Idea #398: It seems that the American Idol producers are missing their core audience with its music guest selection. The most obvious and beneficial
(for all parties involved) would be a show dedicated to the music of Michael Jackson.
Then on the second day, Michael would come out (acting as normal as possible) and do a quick cameo. This is just what he needs and finally we'd hear some good songs that we've actually heard before.
Just remember this competition isn't looking for the best singer. It's looking for the most popular singer that will sell the most CDs.
So the best singer may not be the most popular among the crowd. This was proved when the three best singers were in the bottom 3. American Idol is looking for ratings and CD sales, not to groom the best singer. It just happened that the last two seasons, the best singers were the most popular. This season it seems that the voting public likes the lesser talented singers of the competition. It doesn't mean that they're not talented, just more popular. I can't wait to see who leaves this week!
