Network and time : USA Network : Time varies, check local listings.
Cast : Clayton Rohner, Richard Brooks, Deacon Jones.
Synopsis : (taken from the USA website) CLAYTON ROHNER and RICHARD BROOKS star in this one-hour comedy/thriller as Chandler Smythe and Henry McNeil --
reluctant, afterlife recruits in the Almighty's battle against the forces of evil. Their goal is to locate lost, mortal souls on the streets of Hollywood, and save those foolish
enough to have made a deal with the dark side. Bounty hunters for the "Big Guy Upstairs," our common-man-heroes are forced to meet the epic challenge of Good vs. Evil.
Quick Review : This show probably would have gotten a higher review but I can't help but compare it to the more original Brimstone which was on Fox last year. GvsE is a
dark comedy that has a quirky feel that many may like. Upon first glance, the show is humorously low-budget and over-acted (and if it wasn't intentionally either, my
apologies). My only criticisms are that there were some unoriginal jokes like naming the most wanted moorlocks ; Don King, Gavin McLeod, etc. Gee, wasn't this same
joke in Men In Black. But that's nitpicking since this is still a great show. I regard it as a grown up version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Recommended for fans of : Buffy, Brimstone and Charmed.
