Several sources as saying that Apple is going to release a smaller iPad, new iPod and a revised iPhone as soon as the end of the year but more likely early next year. So far I'm holding off on the iPhone 4 and the iPad until the phone's reception gets fixed and the iPad offers a screen that goes to the outside edges of the device, a front and rear camera. I hope Gizmodo and Apple are in on this "leak" of the new iPhone because if it truly was lost or stolen, someone from Apple is going to be out of a job. Anyway, it shows a promising new iPhone with a front mounted camera for chat and also a flash! Other improvements are higher resolution, secondary mic for noise cancellation and different materials. Of course since this is just a prototype anything could change but it sure makes me curious about what Apple has in store for us.

You can never tell what changes will be included until the new iPhone/iPad OS comes out but Gizmodo says that there might be video calling and file downloads. I'm not sure what good video calling will be with the camera on the other side of my iPhone but we'll have to wait to see what they're planning. (source - Gizmodo)

It's about time that Rockstar Games released their popular Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars game for the iPhone! For those wanting a Grand Theft Auto experience on their iPhone or iPod Touch (there is no such thing as an iTouch) they would've had to get Gameloft's Gangstar West Coast Hustle game. But Rockstar was patient and let another company test the waters before they committed with what looks like a faithful reproduction of the game they originally released for the Nintendo DS system. It now sells for $9.99 at the iTunes store.

The OWLE iPhone Video/Audio rig helps improve the quality of any video and audio you take with your iPhone but is this worthwhile or ridiculous? At $130, it's not exactly an impulse buy but with the a nice wide-angle lens and quality aluminum construction, this looks like it will definitely be worth it for anyone (if there is anyone out there) who uses their iPhone for a lot of video. WakeMate is a device that connects to your iPhone through Bluetooth that helps wake you up at the optimal point in your sleep cycle. I hate waking up and I'm definitely a night owl so anything that can help me wake up easier sounds awesome! The WakeMate also analyzes how you sleep so you OCD, micro-managers can obsess over your sleep data. It's only $49 so it's not outrageously expensive. If you want one they should come out at the end of January, 2010.

Rock Band finally is out for the iPhone and it looks pretty great. The only downside is that there are only 20 songs included but for only $9.99, it's still a great deal. Expect more songs to be released for the iPhone soon! Click on the iTunes icon below to check out Rock Band for the iPhone.

The unique interface of the iPhone doesn't work well for all games but it seems perfectly fit for the older adventure games so Lucas Arts adapted the classic Secret of Monkey Island for the iPhone. As of now it has a strong 4 star rating with over 1,000 ratings so that's pretty good. If you're looking for an old school game with a great sense of humor, The Secret of Monkey Island is on sale for only $3.99 until September 20. Click on the iTunes logo below to learn more about the game.
