The premise is that ninjas still exist and are orphans trained from youth. One defects from the clan and the hunt is on. Violent, great stunts, larger than life effects and the most fun I've had watching an action movie in ages. Rent it now!

How many of you saw Rocky VI, properly named "Rocky Balboa"? Probably not many. I did. Clearly the first Rocky was the best but I love this franchise. For those of you who don't love the series, you're probably remembering the first movie wrong. Go watch it again and I promise you'll see it in a totally different way. It's a darker, sadder movie than most remember it being but in a beautiful way.

So why do a sequel? I would've been happy if he stopped after the third movie but as long as Stallone wants to continue, I'll be buying a ticket. In a recent interview Stallone had this funny but telling quote: "Even my wife says, ‘Don’t do it. You’re embarrassing the kids’. But I told her, ‘If I don’t try I’ll be a really unhappy man.’ You have to do it. Artists like me have to go through the dark over and over again."

Oh yeah, there's also a new Rambo sequel in the works but I'm not a fan of that series.

Click here to read more at SlashFilm

I'm not exactly a fan of the TV show but I find this fascinating.

The Cast:

Liam Neeson as Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith - how can you go wrong with one of the best actors out there but I guess Liam's in this one for the paycheck because as good as he is, I'm sure he doesn't get paid as much as he deserves.

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson as Sgt. Bosco 'B.A.' Baracus - Quinton is pretty much throwing away his MMA career by walking out on his UFC contract to try his hand at acting. I hope he got paid well because he'll have a long layoff before he fights again and with newer, younger, faster and stronger competition coming up every day, his pro career days are numbered.

Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck - I like Cooper but I never thought of him as the "pretty boy" that the original character played by Dirk Benedict.

Sharlto Copley as Capt. 'Howling Mad' Murdock - Sharlto is almost as much as a questionable casting choice as Rampage because the only thing he's done that people might know is the awesome District 9. I wonder if he worked on getting rid of his accent?

I'll be curious to hear how things went on set and if this cast works well together but as for seeing the movie we'll have to wait until at least Summer of 2010.

This is not a good time for businesses. There are so many small businesses around my area that have closed up shop but let's face it, it's only a matter of time before Blockbuster and other small video stores go the way of the dinosaur. With the internet, DVRs and other technology, only the really poor hold onto dvd rentals. Will old DVD and VHS rentals be forever delegated to the public library? Probably.

Reuters is reporting that Blockbuster will have to scale back operations and that they owe millions in debt. Too bad they didn't start the online DVD and video rental earlier.
I've never been a Three Stooges fan so I'm not really excited about a movie made about their life by the Farrelly brothers but if it's true that Sean Penn, Jim Carrey and Benicio Del Toro will be starring i the movie, it might be worth seeing.

From SlashFilm: Carrey is planning to gain 40 pounds for the role so that he can more closely match the physical look of Jerome “Curly” Howard. Sean Penn is set to play Larry, and Benicio Del Toro is currently in talks to play Moe, but both of those names have been reported on the site previously. Even Jim Carrey had been rumored to be involved at some previous point of time. The movie is not a biopic, but a comedy that follows the antics of the trio.

I guess we're out of crappy old TV shows and cartoons to adapt to movies that now we're starting in on toys. I wonder if this will come out before a Thundercats movie which will also suck. (source - SlashFilm)

After Stephen Chow decided to step away of the remake of the Green Hornet, he hooked up with Jack Black and Anne Hathaway to do an action-comedy. I'm definitely interested since Chow did two of my favorite movies, Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer.
