When you think of John Blackwell (Prince's Drummer) what do you think of? Tons of chops?
Stage presence? Lightning Speed? No, it's probably the amazing stick twirling that he does. Of course, in this DVD John Blackwell - Technique, Grooving & Showmanship
, he shows how he does this and more! He shows in depth how to twirl and flip sticks and put on a show but there are a lot of great licks and exercises for drummers from beginner to advanced.
I highly recommend this DVD for those working on their live performing skills or just want to add
some showy, funky drumming to their arsenal. Blackwell breaks down his licks slowly with different camera angles making this one of the best instructional DVDs I've ever seen. It's even under $40!
A must have!
