Ah, the changes one goes through when they leave for college. Marian Kitt's changes come in an awakening of psychic powers. In
the promos for this show you can almost hear Haley Joel Osment say, "I see dead people" but try to forget that this show is jumping on the coattails of The Sixth Sense and appreciate the
storytelling of this fine new show. Marain starts seeing the ghost of a girl who allegedly committed suicide in her dorm room the previous school
year. She talks in her sleep, unconsciously writes notes from the girl in class and even starts to hallucinate. She's promptly contacted by a group of people who also posses
powers. Each one has a slightly different power all which compliment each other. They then use their powers to solve problems and fight crime. O.K. maybe not that
hokey but almost. Does it work? I like it! I find it interesting and tastefully done. The pilot show even had a surprise nice ending.
Sure it's derivative
but I enjoy this type of sci-fi show. I find it to be more Outer Limits than X-files, which for me is a plus. If you like sci-fi, spooky stuff like The Sixth Sense you should
definitely check this show out!
